Your files stay on your device

The tools run inside your web browser. When you merge a PDF, convert a document, or format some JSON, the work happens on your computer or phone. Your files and the text you type are not uploaded to our servers—we don’t have a document server at all. The site downloads its own code and processing engines when a tool needs them, and nothing else about your files leaves your browser.

Why it’s free

FreeToolBench is supported by advertising, shown in clearly labeled spaces. Ads never receive your documents. Because processing happens on your device, the site is cheap to run, which is what lets it stay free without accounts or usage limits.

Honest about limits

Some jobs are best-effort in a browser. Converting a PDF to Word extracts text rather than reproducing the original layout, OCR can misread poor scans, and calculators give estimates rather than advice. Each tool page says what to expect, and you should always check important results.
