Terms of Use

The service

FreeToolBench provides document tools that run in your web browser. Files you select are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. The tools are offered free of charge and are supported by advertising. We may add, change, or remove tools, or suspend the site, at any time without notice.

Your files and responsibilities

• You keep all rights to the files you process. We do not receive them and claim no ownership of them.
• Only process files you have the right to use, and comply with all laws that apply to your documents and to how you use the results.
• You are responsible for checking every result before relying on it, and for keeping your own copies of original files. Keep any passwords you use with Protect PDF safe; we cannot recover them.

Important limitations

• Conversions, OCR, compression, and similar tools are best-effort. Layout, formatting, fonts, or images may change, and text recognition may contain errors. Each tool page describes its known limitations.
• Redact PDF rebuilds pages as images. Review the downloaded file to confirm that everything sensitive is covered before sharing it.
• Sign PDF adds a visible drawn signature. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and may not meet legal requirements for electronic signatures in your situation.
• Calculators give estimates for general information. They are not financial, tax, medical, or legal advice; check important decisions with a qualified professional.
• Developer tools such as the JWT decoder do not verify signatures or security, and minified or converted code should be tested before use.
• Invoice tools help you prepare documents. Their XML output is a draft that is not certified against e-invoicing standards, and the basic checks do not confirm tax, legal, or regulatory compliance. You are responsible for the accuracy of invoices you issue.

Acceptable use

Do not use FreeToolBench to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or process content you are not permitted to handle. Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting, or use automated means to access it in ways that impair the service for others.

Third-party services

The site uses services from Google, including Firebase Hosting, Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google Fonts, which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Ads may link to third-party websites; we are not responsible for their content or practices. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Intellectual property

The FreeToolBench name, design, and site content belong to Ragana Inc.. FreeToolBench includes open-source software that is licensed under its own terms; those licenses and notices are included with the site.

No warranty

FreeToolBench is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that results will meet your needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ragana Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use FreeToolBench, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to FreeToolBench will not exceed US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use FreeToolBench after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
